Listen?

last nights Ethan moment. This boy always seems to pull out the oddest things that end up making you scratch your head and smile with a giggle. This is what he did last night a conversation between Ethan and I.

Ethan walks up to the window in the front of the house while we are sitting in the living room enjoying a night show before bed. He puts is hand to his ear and leans into the window.

"Listen." Kevin and i both look at him in wonder. Again he says.

"Listen."

"what?" I asked him.

"Listen" he says followed by some garbled speech. Doing the best I could. I come up with what I thought he might have said.

"For the cops?" He looks at me with the cutest look and nods his head then puts his hand back up to his ear and leans into the wall.

"Listen for the cops."

Needless to say there were no cops or any sirens going off. Yet he still continued to listen for the cops up until bed time. Hm we thought it was adorable.

So hear he is listening for the cops.

Holiday Joy's

Yes i know I'm a tad late but those dang holidays always wear you out or at least they wear me out. For Christmas we had Kevin's parents come to our house for breakfast and present time. Ethan was surprisingly patient for a 3 year old with presents sitting in front of him which he couldn't open until grandma and grandpa got there and we ate breakfast. So once everyone got to our place we had a large breakfast (which was large if anyone knows how I cook, I don't do small meals). Then opened all the presents. We all enjoyed our gifts. Ethan's biggest gift at our house was a pair of dinosaurs from the show dinosaur train which he loves. Trains and dinosaurs put together whats there not to like for every little boy. Now one dinosaur came from us and the other Kevin's parents. They talk, sing, and make lots of Dino noises. The problem with this thing is that when I went to buy it the dang thing made me so embarrassed at the store. For the life of me I could not get it to be quite and its not a soft voiced toy. So all through the store every bump, corner and slight shift of the cart it was going off. Growling, talking, singing you name it. Next time I'll make the toy the last thing on my list to get.
After Kevin's parents left it was time to head out to my parents place were my brother was waiting as patiently as he could. He did suprisingly well with all those presents in front of him (heh heh). My borther and his wife flew in for the christmas fun. So once again present time Ethan had to help everyone unwrap there gifts. Then muchies for the rest of the day. Here at this gift time the winners were a train set and a giant fire truck. The train set is a fave for him to watch with the cat. The fire truck is the one pushed all over the house making all its noise.
