Our little Garden

Well its not much but its our little veggie patch (planters). Starting from the bottom left corner we have carrots, strawberries, zucchini, and green beans. In the corner of the porch is my flower which are my fav Calla Lillie's. Just out of the picture the big red planter is a cherry tomato plant (Ethan's Fav). I did have a cilantro plant but I wasn't paying attention to it for a couple of days and it started flowering so when that happens it stops growing. Next year I am adding some more herbs.

Our little porch patch

This was our first pic of veggies Ethan helped pick everyone of them and eat them to. I'm so happy we can still have a section for veggies that me and Ethan can grow together.

Tents and Ballet

What do you get when you put a Grana and little boy in a 3'x3' pop up tent?
A cramped situation full of smiles & giggles.

no one else has attempted this feat but Grana. the out come was a very happy little boy who now wants everyone to come in his very little tent with him. On this same amazing day my mom (grana) was showing me some of the dance moves we would be doing in class that day. Ethan thought it looked like fun so he did his own interpretation of the moves and quite well if i don't say.

Good extension

Who knows maybe he will be a dancer.

California

The trip to California was so much fun. My parents and I went down to visit my brother and his wife in San Jose California. I wish Kevin and Ethan could have gone with me but maybe next time. The flight down was pretty nice. Getting into the airport the weather was nice but not as nice as we had expected but hey it beats Idaho weather any day of the week. So we stayed for three days and got to do lots of fun things. Like experiencing my brothers wonderful driving skills. No hes not that bad but he is my brother so natural as a younger sister I get to poke fun at him.

Our first adventure was up this very crazy roller coaster of a road with whiplash corners. On this road was a multitude of various bikers. At the top was a biker bar were we had lunch. Then when we came down we went over to the coast line and saw the ocean for the first time. After that fun drive we went for a wine tasting event which wasn't were anyone would have expected it to be. Except for me I knew it was in a warehouse and not a vineyard because I looked it up in great detail. Yet as the saying goes "if you don't ask I wont tell". So besides my dad and I who don't drink wine the rest of the group seemed to have some fun tasting wine, foods and chocolate.

Our second day of adventuring lead us to San Francisco. Home of the Golden Gate Bridge and my favorite Pier 39. Well we didn't cross the bridge but we stopped and got to take some great pictures of it in the wonderful blustering wind. About half the time you would swear one wrong step and the wind would take you out to sea. So then we got in the big long line of cars to get to the pier. Last time I was there was in high school for a band trip. Had fun then and still had fun this time. We ate lunch, saw the sea lions, light house's, boats ect. We walked the whole pier just looking at every thing. My dad and I did get to go on one of the old war ships used at sea. Wow its a lot smaller then it looks. We went down into the engine room and dang that is one job I wouldn't want at sea. The stairs down were so narrow and I swear slanted at a 80 degree angle. One false move and down you go. After the ship we went into various shops on our way back to the car and to home.

Third day of fun was full of fun. This was our shopping day at the big mall. Wow it was big. I did get a few things mostly for my boy. Ya he got his California look he would blend in. After shopping we went to the Winchester House. They aren't kidding when they say this house is beautiful but odd at the same time. When you first get there you take a tour with a guide and well the rules for the tour were a little um strict. You couldn't take pictures, no cell phones on, walk were she walked, no touching, gum, food, drink heck I'm not sure you were aloud to sneeze. Any way if you got caught doing anything people were watching you and you would be removed. thank goodness no one did anything bad in our group. If you haven't heard of the Winchester house I suggest you go look it up the history of the house and Sarah Winchester is just way to interesting. Our last fun thing of the day was miniature golfing. I personal haven't ever gone normal golfing or miniature golfing and well I'm not quiting my day job, but I had lots of fun.

So after our fun filled days it was back to reality home life. We had lots of fun and I can't wait to go back some time with my family. The only bad thing was the landing into Moscow/Pullman Airport were we had the great pleasure of landing in the soon to be thunder storm. Lots of joyfully bouncy turbulance. It was a great trip but glad to be back with my boys. They are the BEST thing ever. I would do anything for them like wash there clothes and make them dinner. I would even rub there feet and shower them with kisses. Kevin is the great husband ever. He can do no wrong. I wish I would have read this after Kevin revised it.

Photo Time's

Well it was such a nice day today we decided to go out even though not much is in bloom. We thought it would still be a great time to go take some pics. Here's what we got.

Party, party, party

Party, party, party. That's all it seems like we did this last week. Ethan had a turning four bonanza. The first party was with his little friends. A total of four which worked out great. I think. Then Kevin and I got to celebrate his birthday on his actual birthday. Then it was Easter and more Ethan birthday fun to be had. For some time he was starting to think it was his birthday every day. Next year hopefully we can contain the fun to only one or two days rather then a whole week, but it was fun.

So he got spoiled with a dinosaur themed birthday. As usual I had an elaborate birthday cake planned but last minute failure caused a catastrophic meltdown and it didn't make it. On to plan O (that's how bad it was) and things worked out in the end. All in all he had lots of fun and got lots of gifts. Now for pictures.

Snack Time.

He really got the hang of those things pretty quick.

It was yummy.

Movie Time!

So this last weekend as a family we got to take Ethan to his very first movie in the movie theater. We did want his first movie to be the new Cars 2 coming out (cause he loves cars so much) but we thought it might be a good idea to really test out the movie sitting ability on a more low key movie first. So we took him to Rango. When we got to the theater he was pretty amazed at how big it was, all the poster, foods, and just plain coolness. Getting into the movie room it was empty well at first it was. We really thought we would get the whole place to our selves until a party group showed up. Yet even that wasn't a bad thing since it was families that have all done this first thing before so everyone was understanding. All in all he thought it was pretty cool to sit in a big chair with some popcorn in his lap watching a movie. He did very well up until the about the last 20 minutes. He started to get a little bored which was pretty good for a 1 1/2 hour movie. The movie itself was not bad. A little more adult then we thought, but it had some funny moments. Kevin and Ethan watching for the movie to start

Hey if they get a picture together so do I hes already snaking on the popcorn

After the movie we still had some time to kill before dinner so since the green fair was going on at the mall and there were tractors there we had to stop. He loves tractors and i think driving one might be in his future (just needs to be a bit bigger and older we will see).

Yummy

Yummy Yummy. So it was moms Birthday this last week and we got to have a tiny gathering at our place. Ethan was so excited it was a birthday party he didn't mind who's it was as long as he got to say happy birthday. Little does he know that his birthday is coming up next month (shh its dinosaur train themed). Lots of pictures to come on that. First here is a picture of the cake I got to make form mom. This was the first time I got to make this cake and it turned out very yummy indeed.

So I did put candles on the cake and Ethan couldn't wait to help blowing them out in fact as I was trying to light them he was blowing out my lighter. When we did get them lit Ethan got to sit on moms lap and help blow out the candles after we sang happy birthday. So they blew out the candles then Ethan got down proudly bowed and said "Thank You". What a ham. So this is going to be to much fun when his birthday comes around and I'm sure there will be more stories to tell.

Limited budget, three days, blood, sleepless nights and rock music theme. Yet I got it all done. Ethan's room is now a stylish boys rock n roll room. While Kevin and Ethan went with his mom to Oregon I got left behind because of work. So i thought since everyone was out of the house and i gave me three noiseless days I would finally get Ethan's room done. I made and put together everything in his room except the comforter which was the inspiration for the whole thing. So I made the wall art, pillow cases, decorative pillows (one is missing in the pics) curtain, and I put together that bed by myself. That was no easy task on its own. It posed lot of problems (and a few choice words) for me but I did it. Ethan got to be the first on to open his door and see his new room. He was excited. He likes his new big boy bed abs was pointing out and naming all the instruments in his room. I had lots of issues with a few things but i loved the end results and its a theme that can grow with him for awhile.

Neon blue, neon green, black and gray

That ribbed pillow was my enemy for two of the three days it just did not want to do what I wanted it to. Yet in the end I won finally and it turned out great.

I had fun doing these simple but neat pictures.
